October was a busy month in the Australian Baha'i community and world-wide. The Baha'i community has had an affiliation with the United Nations since its inception in 1948. In October Baha'is in dozens of groups throughout Australia celebrated (a) International Day for the Eradication of Poverty(17/10), (b) United Nations Day(24/10), (c) World Teachers' Day(28/10) and on November 16th (d) International Day of Tolerance. There are between 5 and 6 million adherents of this new world religion in the world. _________________ <div>Ron Price is a retired teacher, aged 61.
