This page is not too interesting, except to serve as a place holder as a collection of links for software I'm using or developing or using for Linux.
Cryptographic software
Crypto++ Multimedia software
This is a combination of stuff to use, and some development tools I'm keeping handy, for when I begin my development.
decss.zip This is a DVD decoder, that allows you to watch a DVD you own on your computer. It is the subject of many legal battles in the USA, but as far as I know, is legal in Australia.
css-auth.tar.gz Part of the same package of files, described above.
LiVid.tgz An under development Linux Video player.
This is a video player for Linux. It supports a ton o' playback formats, and can even use Windows codecs, if they're available. You can also download a plugin that will allow you to play back encrypted DVD's. I bought a few DVDs a month or so back, and this is the only way I can seem to be able to play them back on my Linux box. For ease and 'cause I keep losing his address, here is a local copy of the d5d playback plugin for Xine.
Favourite Linux related links.
http://slashdot.org The mighty Slashdot. Love it or hate it, it is a great source of Linux advocacy and mindless ranting about all things anti-Microsoft. http://www.redhat.com We all know who they are. http://www.debian.org/ Another distribution of Linux. They are a very pure GPL distro, and as such, command and deserve a great deal of respect in the community.
